"Internatet" which the house is called, was built by Ola Skipenes in 1925. He was a principal and built the house as a boarding house for students. Here there was rooms for students, assembly hall with scene, library, office, and dining hall. Today the house is rebuilt to apartments.During the 2nd World War, the house was occupied by the Nazis, and sometimes housed as many as 100 men. In the summer season, some parts of the house is used for tourism, and there are 15 beds, divided among apartments and single/double rooms.
